Day 10

I looked out the window and what did I see? Popcorn popping on the Apricot tree!

So, this isn't an apricot tree, its the tree in our front yard, but it does look like popcorn!

We spent the day today at the park with friends, now everyone is having a sleep over, either at a friends house, or friends at our house!

Day 9

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday Dear Kaycee, Happy Birthday to you! Thanks Grammy, Grampy and Grandma for the nice gifts. Thank Dad for Heeleys! I've wanted them for MONTHS! Thanks Mom and Lauren and Sydney and Matthew for my gifts!

Day 8

Gary took Lauren and Sydney skiing today. They both are doing so well! They went on the blue and green runs. Lauren didn't fall once this time! Sydney had a little mishap. I guess they had just gotten on a ski lift. They were about 4 or 5 feet up when Sydney's pole dragged on the ground and it pulled her right off the lift! She fell and Gary said her legs and skis were all twisted up! He thought for sure her leg was broken, but she was fine. They stopped the lift and the worker ran over to her. She is fine! It helps to be a flexible 8 year old! Other than that they had a great day! Kaycee went to a birthday party today as well.

Day 7 (BIG NEWS!)

Gary was asked to teach a training session for his business. Where? In Melbourne Australia! He'll be leaving the end of April. I'm coming too! We'll be there for a little over a week! I'm so excited!!! I've never traveled out of the country before!

Days 5 and 6

We got to go to Knotts Berry Farm! We split a hotel room with our neighbors. Yes we crammed two Mom's and SIX kids in a room! We stayed at the Knotts Berry Farm Resort Hotel. It was pretty nice. It was really nice to be so close to the park! We had two very fun filled days and 1 fun filled night. I'll post some pictures of the water play area from the hotel next. Of course that was the kids favorite part. Next time, we need to just find a cheap hotel close and go just to swim! The park was really crowded this time, worse than I've ever seen. But we went on the log ride several times and enjoyed the camp Snoopy rides. My older girls are troopers for sticking it out with all the little kids!

Day 3

Well today I guess is the first offical day of spring break. We hung out, played some Guitar Hero, got an oil change and tire rotation, and went to the library. I actually checked out Jane Eyre. I have never read it. I have to admit, I really don't like the Classic romances. I forced myself to read Pride and Prejudice and Emma. I get lost in the very long sentences, and I get frustrated with the formality of the prose. Just call each other by their first names for crying out loud! :) Anyway I am going to read it and see what I think! It was nice to have a down day.
