We ran up to the Elementary School this morning also to see Sydney get honor roll!

Thursday

Thursday was Sydney's 5th grade Promotion! She received the Presidential Award for Academics, which meant she was on honor roll each semester for 4th and 5th grade, and she received the Presidential Award for Citizenship, which meant she was chosen by her peers to receive that award. Way to go Sydney!

Also on Thursday was Kaycee's Chorus party at Mulligans. Sydney came too and got to be with some of her good friends from class. Kaycee said it was the best day ever, and now wants to do chorus every year (just so she can have this party at the end! :) )

Wednesday

Wednesday night was 8th grade Cosmic Night. Which means 8th grade party. There was a rock wall, laser tag, black lights, and a DJ to keep the kids dancing! I didn't want to embarrass Lauren too much by following her around taking pictures, so I ducked in and snapped a quick picture of the room, then went back to serving cookies and drinks!

Today was the 5th grade VS staff softball game

Monday

Monday night was the 8th grade awards ceremony. Lauren got 2 awards, one for excellence in art, and the other for having a 3.5 or above the entire 3 years she was at middle school. 2 of Lauren's art projects are below. The 3rd one was chosen to be hung up at school.

I forgot to add that Lauren signed up for the 100 mile club this year and did it! She ran 100 miles this year in P. E. !

Field Trips

The last 2 Fridays have been busy at our house! Last Friday 1st grade went to the Wild Animal Park! We had beautiful weather and a great day! 3rd grade went to the Temecula History Museum. This Friday, 5th grade had its pool party at the CRC pool. It was so much fun!

We are down to our LAST week of school! Which means: Pizza parties, 5th grade vs. staff softball game, movie days, 8th grade field trip to Knotts Berry Farm, yearbook signing parties, chorus party at Mulligans, 8th grade Cosmic Night party, awards ceremonies, field days, Pajama days and TWO promotions!

5th grade pool day

The 5th graders have about an hour and a half where they need to be out of the pool. During that time they play games, eat lunch and dance with the D.J.

Mozart

Sydney had her end of the year recital. Since she had to miss her composers recital, due to her broken hand, she was able to play her Mozart piece this time around! Here is a quick listen to it! Great job Sydney!

What a great girls she is. We know we are so lucky to start out our teenage years with her. She is the sweetest girl around!

Oh and in case your wondering what her request was for her birthday? Bake some brownies, then top it with ice cream, then top that with crushed mint Oreos, then top the whole thing with Magic Shell topping! Phew! It was delicious! :)

AZ

We got the word that Great Great Grandma Watkins passed away. She was 100 1/2 years old. She was born October 1910. She lived a remarkable life! We decided that we'd make it to AZ to be at her funeral.

So, we packed the car and were on our way.

Besides being able to honor Grandam and her life, we were able to be with our cousins! (I stole this picture!)

Play some games, like basketball, air hockey, ride bikes and scooters, go swimming. .

I feel like we packed 6 days worth of activities in one weekend, but it was a lot of fun! Thanks our AZ family for making it such a great trip!
