Love

Last night the kids and I were talking about what we have learned from President Hinckley. The 9 B',s the importance of Temples to name a few. But I think the thing I will always think of is love. I always felt his love for everyone every time he spoke. I always felt that he loved unconditionally, much as the Savior must have when he was on the Earth. We will miss him, but know that he is finally home with his family and dear wife.

Birch Aquarium

Last Thursday I got to go to Birch Aquarium in La Jolla with Matthew's joy school group. It was a fun morning! We got to see the sharks being fed, see an octopus slide right across the glass in front of us, see lots of jelly fish, a huge lobster and eels. Here are the pictures I took.

Confession

I have a confession to make. I LOVE GUITAR HERO!!!

Gary got the PSP 3 for our anniversary. He got with it Guitar Hero III. I was hooked from the first time I tried to play it! I just passed all the medium songs--and beat the final battle with Lou, which is the Charlie Daniels Devil Went Down to Georgia song.

Now, I am stuck! I can play medium but not hard! Any Guitar Hero fans out there, how do you get that last orange note in??

What a crazy thing to spend time doing huh--as if I just have hours in the day to listen to hard rock and play a video game!!

Prayer

Today in sacrament meeting, Matthew was acting up so badly!!! Finally during the closing prayer he was fussing and talking the whole time. I whispered in his ear "You be quiet during the prayer or you will loose your video games the rest of the day". He then spoke very loudly, "BUT I CAN'T BE QUIET!"

When the prayer was over, all of those sitting around us smiled at me cause I know they heard him!

Ah the joys of going to church with little ones.

Dental work

Matthew just got done with almost $2,000 worth of dental work this morning. They had to put him completely under. He got 4 root canals, 2 back teeth pulled, a couple of cavities filled and several crowns, as well as spacers where his back teeth were. It's so hard seeing your child come out of anesthesia! They shake and tremble and can't hold their heads up for a few minutes. He did great and now it's all done! Sydney also had to go through the same thing when she was 4, but she had to have her 4 front teeth pulled.

Out of the 4 kids, Sydney and Matthew have horrible teeth, Lauren and Kaycee so far have only had tiny cavities that have been able to be filled, sometimes without even local anesthesia.
