Lauren took a lot of pictures at girls camp this year! She went to Alpine Meadows camp--up in Big Bear. She had a GREAT time!

Summer of "09

I was HORRIBLE at taking pictures this summer! We swam--a LOT, went to the free movies at the mall, had lots and lots and lots of friends over, got all our prizes from the library, spent time with cousins, camped at Doheny beach and Pismo beach, jumped on the trampoline with a sprinkler hooked to the pole--then added bubbles, (hey no baths required!) had more friends over, made it to the beach a few times and did a lot of relaxing!











Pismo beach was COLD and CROWDED--but we still had fun!

Kona

We got Kona yesterday. He is a chocolate lab. The kids are in heaven!

Summer, here we come

Twas the night before summer and all through the house
the kids were bouncing and squeaking, just like a mouse.

The back packs were empty and all cleaned out
The mountains of papers and projects were stacked all about.

And I in my PJ's and Dad in his cap
were just settling down for a SYTYCD recap.

When what to my joy and delight did sink in?
NO homework, NO schedules, late nights can begin!

So to all who are ready to swim far and near--
Farewell to a great school year, summer is HERE!

29 again

Just a big thank you to all who left me such nice birthday wishes.

It was my b-day on Saturday. It was a very nice day! I got some very nice gifts. Tanya gave me a beautiful purse, Gary and Sydney picked out some beautiful earrings, I got new speakers for my computer, and Gary got us tickets to see Brian Regan in July! Yeah--I LOVE him! I also got a beautiful shirt and bracelet from my Mom, and a Hershey's cookbook! I also got a new pair of swimming goggles. Goggles?! Yes--I am going to attempt to swim laps this summer at the CRC pool! Wish me luck!

Gary and I got to go out to dinner and see a movie. I got to pick and I wanted to see the new Star Trek movie. I LOVED it!

Sooo, thanks again! I'm so thankful for such great friends and family!

Doheny

We went camping this last weekend at Doheny beach again. It was freezing! We never saw the sun--but does that stop us from having fun? NO WAY! Does that even stop the kids from getting soaking wet? NO WAY! We had so much fun with Grampy, and our niece and nephew visiting from AZ.

I told the kids, OK, everyone turn around, no peeking and we'll see who can stand the longest. I thought for sure everyone would go running for the hills when they heard a big wave coming, but noooo, they all stood their ground! I love every ones faces as that wave hit them!
